Sprinkler Systems - An integral element to a successful fire strategyEffective. Saves lives. To standards BS EN 9251 and BS EN 12845.
Sprinkler heads and pipework are specially designed to fit the building space and offer complete protection, nullifying the fire. This 'active' method of fire protection engages upon detection through strategically placed sprinkler heads. The heads can be concealed with a cover cap to keep the aesthetics of the space being protected. Whilst sprinkler systems are mostly thought of in a commercial space, sprinklers are a requirement for all new basements and new buildings over 30m tall. Following design and installation, the system is commissioned, checking all heads are up to the required pressure of 10bar. While most smaller projects will have enough pressure from the boosted mains, larger scale projects may require a pump to be installed to aid the constant pressure required. We design, install and commission. |
